My buddy needs to remove the bubba'd front flash eliminator on his jungle carbine, so he can replace it with a new one.

It looks like you punch put the 2 pins in the sight/eliminator and pull it off the barrel, right?

Is there any trick to getting these pins out?
He was ready to zip cut it off the barrel. I though Id ask you guys first.

You are right about punching out the 2 pins and pulling it off the barrel. I think they are taper pins inserted from opposite sides. My memory is fuzzy about which way they are inserted since the last time I took one apart was about 20 years ago at my friend's gun shop. Look at the end the pin closely to see if they are different size. Don't zip cut it or you may cut into the barrel.

Some of those pins are in there good....I punched one set right out and knocked the flash cone off with a hammer and piece of wood, (so not to dent the flash cone). It took a while....
