Jungle Carbine stocks

Potentially the only spot is to wait until Numrich has some in stock. Finding good used ones isn't a frequent thing.

Other solution is to find wood parts from a sporterized No4 that are decent for the job, forend that's long enough and good butstock;and a new rear handguard and then modify them to fit; medium woodworking skills would be useful for this.

the wood working part is not a problem, im pretty handy when it come to working with wood. Ive been shopping around but its hard to find a stock.

Ain't no such thing as a "jungle carbine" Its a rifle, No5, Mk1.
Jungle carbine is a term made up by the surplus dealers, same as "assault rifle" which was a GIFT to the gun grabbers.

There does seem to be a some documentation that the nickname did pre-exist the gun dealer info among carrying troops. I'm real new so I will try and get some proper references as this does interest me a little. Certainly it was never anything but a No 5 Mk 1 rifle and never a carbine officially that I can find.

Edit: been looking but it seems most references to early J Carbine use are second or third hand. So far the oldtimers haven't mentioned Jungle Carbine! A lot of info on these rifles in old documents, could be fun researching. P.S. Starting to get a clue about the Lee Enfield addiction, LE Anonymous No 12 steps Mk 2!
