and we'll be playing with M14's in Calgary :D

Just a few Q's.

First off, what stuff should be bring for the clinique? Should I bring tools and Glues and oils and greases and crap?

Secondly, Should I bring other toys? Since the clinique is only on the Saturday are people planning on hitting a range in the Calgary area on the Sunday? I know that Barney isn't planning anything for Sunday (I think he's flying out Sat..?) so can anyone else suggest an after course outing?

apparently clinique is the french spelling.... dunno why the hell I was using it... perhaps it has something to do with cheque? Gotta love the complexities of engrish.

My questions still haven't been answered.

Yes to what you suggested to bring. Bring grease syringes, screwdrivers, punches, I'll bring along the M14 specific tools. I have to fly back to Toronto on Sunday AM.

That is why we were able to run a 2 day clinic at Milcun's facility. We spent the Sat aft on the 100m range then on Sunday, we took it back 200m to 600m range. Many clinic attendees were able to realize what a box stock Norinco can actually do.

While we are on the subject.... is Seals Action Gear attached to The Shooting Edge like they were back in 2004 when I visited Calgary ? Seems to me that they might have moved, judging by their new website's street address.

Yeah, this clinics hosted in different provinces limit me to the ONE day on the ground. During the Summer months (I'm a teacher )... I can do a few days at a time. I was even thinking of a summer road trip out East and WEST doing 1 or 2 days in the major cities.

TTFN,
Barney

PS : yes, I am getting excited about this coming weekend.

They are separate, but it is a 3 min. drive down Blackfoot Trail.

Thanks Barney.

Is there anything I should bring for the fitting of my stock? Check this out: http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1750574#post1750574

Otherwise I'll just throw together a set of tools to bring along.

Wally:

Nice stock. I do have to say, that such fine woodworking has to be done by yourself in a shop with a nice vise to clamp that stock into. I don't have any woodworking tools, but I can have a look at it to recommend a course of action. I have done shztloads of glass bedding. In my 2004 Abbotsford Clinic video, we glassbedded TWO of Rooster33's M1A's.

I'm getting pumped for the flight on Friday evening. Be staying at Savage's place.

Cheers,
Barney

Getting pretty amped about this myself. My girlfriend and I are driving out Friday night after my show (we'll probably be pulling into Calgary at like 5 AM or so) and I'm dropping Erin off at my sister's place in the AM. Gives the girl a chance to catch a nap, clean up and hang with my sister (whom she's never met yet) while I attend the clinic, slightly slack-jawed and glazed over. I'll be happy if I can grab a nap in the parking lot of TSE before the clinic. :p

Thanks Barney. I can do lots of the wood chewing after the clinique but what are the chances that we could bed that baby during the course? I've got a wood file set that I'm gonna bring with me as it hopefully won't take much to get it fitted.

Flyin' in on Friday eh? We're driving out on Friday morning :D Casual Friday night beers? :D

I'll be truckin' around with Savage. We'll be doing a recce at TSE after some grub depending on what time I get landed and cleared outta Calgary International.

Would be nice to check out some nice kit at Seals Action Gear, but they close around 1700 hrs on Fri evening.

Glass bedding , eh ?

I'll need a vise/ Black and Decker workmate, dremel tool with all the bits you've got. Some masking tape, JB Weld or Devcon ? I'll bring the Devcon along. Acetone ? Lots of tissues (toilet paper works fine)

I would rather not bed this baby until you get the fit dialed in with all the necessary wood working tools. But it can be done, I just don't want to rush the learning process.
