I'm trying to feild strip, and past getting the two shot exstention, I can't get the metal ribbed barrel holder off. Is it just super tight the first time to take off? Or have I forgotten, or not getting something. I've watched the take down of a Remminton 870 and really get it. This one peice won't loosen up, I want to shoot ASAP! Please help, thanks in advance guy's/gal's.

I guess the exstention holder? I unscrewed the front swivel stud/and screw off. Now it is the ribbed peice that the exstenion screws into, it won't unscrew.

That thing.

I see. My guess is it's just super tight. Wrap it in a sock or rag and give it a little twist with a pair of channel locks and see if that moves it. Not too much force. If not, spray a little penetrating oil in there and let it sit for awhile then try it again. I'm pretty sure it's just threaded on in place of the standard magazine cap and just needs a little love. Good luck.

I fugured as much, but I didn't want go gun ho trying to wrench it. Thanks much.:)

Got it's just really tight, and theres a bearing in the part that the exstention holder screws into the barrle holder. Makes it extra tight.

FYI: Just remember when you put it back on that the detente ball helps keep the cap on, so it doesn't need to be more than a firm "hand-tight". Don't overtighten it or you'll have to use your CTC Robogrips all over again to get it off the next time.

PS. Congrats on buying the most badass shotgun on the market. It will outlive you.

Oh I hear, on the tightness.
I shot it that night with my wife and mother in law. I knew I should of brought the camera out of my car. The look on my wifes face after the first shot, priceless! That gun is awsome, I love it! I even have a bruise from the thing. I pumped 48 rounds of Winchester universal myself. In hindsight I really need ear protection. :D

Yup guns are loud.
If you place the butt on the ground and then push down with your left hand on the muzzle with your body weight behind it you can use your right hand to either tighten or loosen the cap.
Pushing the barrel in towards the receiver really helps.
