I have owned hundreds of rifles over the years but never a .280, so I just picked up a brand new one, should fit right in with my other #1’s. Also just orders a set of dies and Prophet River has brass so three bags are on the way! I have several hundred Speer 160 grand slams on my shelf and lots of 154 Interlocks so I am set, can’t wait to put I’ll all together and see how it shoots!

Oh wow that sounds like a really nice rifle. Congrats.

Let me know if you want any Winchester nickel plated brass, I have some kicking around back home, for a project that never materialized.

Now, pictures or it didn't happen :p

Send me a PM when you know how much brass you have

Love my no1 I have one RSI in 30-06 and one “s” in 9.3x62!! 280 is supposed to be one great caliber!!

Great combination.
The 1A model is my favorite of the whole lot and the 280 fits it to the T.
I've got the 280's earlier brothers in the 1A and a RSI configurations in 7x57.

A (very) old favorite of mine is an RSI in 7x57, joined a few years ago by a really nice 1A in .280 Rem. The only issue has been finding good brass for the .280. I have a good supply of nickle-plated .280 brass but would very much like to find some "brass brass" (i.e. not plated).

Delightful rifles.

Drop me a PM in a couple weeks to shake my memory. I'm pretty sure I have a couple unopened bags of Remington (brass brass) I can spare you.
I've been shooting off my older 280 handloads and reaping the cases as 280 AI so likely wont be reloading standard 280 cases in the near future.

I have several scopes on my shelf, but chose to mount a brand new out of the box Freedom 2-7 x with the hunt plex reticle, this is my all around favourite scope for hunting and it is a perfect fit, can’t wait to shoot some groups.

Like the 30-06 and a small list of other chamberings, the 280 is a very good choice for the one gun hunter. Lots of bullet choices and great performance.

I load 160gr NPs for moose and 120gr NBTs in mine. That covers a lot of ground.

I don't believe in luck but I shot this little buck the very 1st time I carried mine hunting.
