Yesterday I decided to pick up couple boxes of 38 special, went to Lever Arms and walked away with new rifle. New to me that is. Great looking gun, at this point I don't even care how it shoots, its just such nice finish, elegant and light rifle. 200 bucks - I think it was a good deal.

Voere, made in Austria. Took it to the bush today and put afew rounds through it. Eats everything, cycle even remington subsonic. Accuracy wasn't too great, I'd say abot nickel size groups at 30m, trigger is too heavy and a bit jumpy, will have to fix that. Adjustble trigger by the way, I just didn't have allien key wrench with me.

Lever arms you say? You live in Vancouver?

Where do you go to shoot your guns off? I like driving up Sylvester road in Mission but it's kinda far and there are too many other guys firing off here and there (hate to catch a stray...)

lol, Southpaw - its used rifle, afraid it was the onle Voere on the continent available. Sorry bud. Really really sorry.

I was shooting it for two days now, say accuracy is as expected, 1" at 50m will do for me, hard to wish anything better from this kind of rifle. Bit touchy on kind of ammo, only cycle well standard velocities and subsonic rounds. All high powered rounds either do not eject or do not feed well. Whatever - I am happy camper.

Matt P, if I tell you where I go that place will probably be fenced off or chained I think. There is no place to go that is close by. Depending where you live, if sea-to-sky hwy is close to you try some logging roads up Mamquam river or somehwre around there, close to Squamish. Read road signs though, there will be restrictions on any shooting activities. Or pick up hunting reg's from government agent - that book shows no shooting areas. Backroads of BC is a good book too. I usually shoot my 22's either at the range or far out of town, behind Hope. Some places are actually littered with shotshells, I say I am not the only one shooting there.

Voere

Thanks 22lr. I recently looked at a Voere bolt sporter .22 at local show that was pretty nice. As my "name" implies I prefer lefty guns but in retrospect I should have picked it up.
I have a CIL/Anschutz semi of similiar 2 piece stock design to yours but with the thin carbine length barrel, 2" at 50 yds is about normal.
Good huntin' with the Voere!

Hmm, looks familiar, It's a model 2117. You can also shoot the rifle in single shot function, and semi-auto with last shot bolt hold open. Here's a pic of the one I had:

Mine shot really well with cci subsonics.

it is 2117. I have no manual - how do you switch to single shot operation? There is a little swithcy thingey in front of trigger guard - is it the one? Where to put the switch to? Interesting design, with the whole trigger group falling out of rifle with one little latch, cool. Do not like cleaning it from crown side - no good. Otherwise its absolutely neat rifle, quickly became my second favourite after Mossy 152K. Besides, I also found Voere shoots amazingly accurate with subsonicly loaded rounds. Southpaw - this one will not be for sale. I love and hate Laver Arms...

If memmory serves me correctly, move the switch all the way forward (toward the mag well) and it fires single shot, pull the switch all the way towards the trigger and it will close the bolt, then return the switch to the forward position. If you have an original mag, the middle position of the switch will hold the bolt open after the last round in the mag.
The one I had shot very well with subsonic loads.
