I'm pretty darn thrilled. I always thought my first pistol would be a 9mm but I've learned that starting with .22 in both rifle and pistol makes a lot of sense and does not burn a hole in the pocket.
Just purchased a High Standard Trophy .22 from a friend and club member today. It is a fantastic Hamden pistol in mint condition. Cost me more than a new Ruger or Buckmark but this seems like one heck of a pistol. Really like the weight - feels like a 1911 (he had a 1911 that I was able to grip side by side to compare).
Now the waiting for the transfer begins ... .what a silly @#$^% process!
