Should be good fun offhand on the indoor pistol range when winter's stinking, hopefully pop a turkey with it too if they're outside shotgun range (rimfire ok in BC).

I wish we could use rimfire for turkeys... that would be a lot of fun... but the turkey hunters course in Ontario has drilled it into every single hunters head that anything but a shotgun is "dangerous"... even bring up using a rifle for turkeys here and the backlash is ridiculous... I don't know how we can be trusted to safely and responsibility use rifles for small and large game in other applications but for some reason can't manage it for turkeys... they often point to the use of decoys as increasing the risk, but we use decoys for coyotes and deer and manage to survive the experience. But "shotguns only" is so engrained here in Ontario, that I don't expect that to change any time soon.

Not sure if this will help or just be bad internet advice. Tradex was listing .22 target rifle sights a few weeks ago. In the parts tabs, and go poking around. You'll probably have to decide if the track will fit your dovetails, and if it is the right height. It might just work ....

Doublegun is a ridiculously talented, and busy fellow, I have some of his work on a custom inletted No.1 safety I simply bought from him as a complete rifle and then took apart for the build. He told me frankly he has no time to do another, I asked.

I don't want anything clamp on, would rather a permanent drilled and tapped solution. I don't need heavy duty target apertures but might as well just install a proper target sight set.

You could dovetail a lyman 17a on the front, smaller then an anschutz style globe. There are a few different small rear apeture sights that fit .22 dovetails...necg, Williams, etc.

I like the skinner rimfire sights; they clamp onto the groove.

They also sell a simple front blade which can be made to work rather easily on most rifles.
