Dec 6th and the mule deer are still rutting.
Had to go to Barrhead today and when I left there at 3:30, there was a herd of mulies in a field, just outside town. Standing right in the middle of the field, was an immense mule deer buck, just looking at those does with that stupid look they get, when the does are in heat. Those deer were easy 700 yards from the road and I could see antlers with the naked eye. Big antlers.
