Where'd you get the 10/22 Tommy kit? I've been looking everywhere for one all over the place and cannot find them, or they are in the states and won't ship to Canada!

Cooey Model 82, .22"RF single-shot.

Originally they were built for the RCAF as training rifles, mostly for prospective air gunners. Later the Army saw that they were a Good Thing and they became the most common primary training rifle in Canada during the Second World War.

After the War, they were sold off by the ton and commonly were available in hardware stores across the country at $5 and under. They were never really popular in civilian life because of that long and heavy barrel, but they were sure as heck accurate! Lots of them got chopped down into "sporters" and you still run into them from time to time, distinguished by that long, heavy tube. Feed them Standard-velocity ammo and they are still as accurate as you can sensibly ask a rifle to be.

Today it is quite unusual to see one this nice.

Very pretty 82!

Ok finally have a chance to type lol. So on to the questions
The Mauser k98k is dated 43
The Garand is a Winchester
The m1a1 Thompson kit came from a fellow gunnut ( johnnylo ) must say very Excellent guy to deal with
Can-down and smellie are spot on with the cooey model 82 training rifle
The model 1897 trench gun has no military markings so it could be just a 97 that someone had cut down and put a heat shield on it ?
The m1 carbine is Inland div and classified as a restricted firearm the person who had it before me was silly and put on a small pipe on the end of it ? I'm thinking to try and make it non restricted but didn't work I haven't had time to take it off yet as they did a pretty good job putting it on lol

Now for my question LOL :) my model 1897 is dated 1915 I've heard that a lot of ww1 trench guns were not marked. BUT I also heard that the early trench guns had the six row hole heat shields and mine has a four row and this is a late production heat shield. I'm only about 2 years into really collecting military firearms so be nice LOL
And again thanks for all the good comments.
Cheers
Joe
