Go to the CAF forum AKA Canadian airgun Forum for info on mods etc.Easy to boost power to just under 500fps for hunting.Shoulder stocks available, steel breach for scoping etc...........................Harold

Watch out!!! If you go to the CAF your 2240 will never be the same again!

Avoid the addiction just stay away:eek:

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$It's a slippery slope after the first step............................................Harold

Levi Garret posted pics of his customized 2240 over on the canadian airgun forum if your interested. Looks like he went all out, must of cost him a pretty penny.

Congrats on the coolest 2240 Ive seen. Is the stock DIY?
Looks like your using a Crooked barn breech? Havent seen one of those for a while.

Thought i would share here is what my crooked barn looked like. it had a shot shell breech and could fire a .380 round ball. Gun is bulked with the line tapped directly to the end of the valve with snipped piercing pin. I was addicted to building 2240s but not actually shooting them in the end. Ive customize and sold 5 and broke even the last one i built 4 months ago as a keeper untill a friend swapped me an in the box perfectly patina Crosman 150.

The easiest mod is putting a 2289 barrel on it for about a hundred fps boost.
John at D&L should be able to get you one.
Crosman makes a steel breech that will fit and is a nice upgrade. KD

Except the Crosman breech is dovetailed for scope only no provision for open sights. .25 caliber barrels can be installed as well and tuned for 500 fps.Track of the Wolf carries and sell blanks to Canada get the .25ACP liner...........Harold

i like haveing a short barral i wonder who makes power adjusters i want to hit that 499 fps mark and i think i will buy another one and hot rod it i love shooting it its funny it evin has slight recoil

Airgun Eric at Scopes and Ammo always give's me great service.

Before you click this link, know that this contains pictures of adjustable trigger sears, trigger shoes, steel breech kits, brass barrel bands, muzzle breaks and velocity adjusters. You have been warned. ;)

I don't think you will get a 2240 over 500 fps with a short barrel.

If you enlarge the valve, tune the hammer, etc you will get alot more CO2. However, the barrel is too short for the CO2 to expand and you will get "snow" coming out the barrel.

Get a inside the coat [to keep the CO2 warm]shoulder holster .Nylon Uncle Mikes good choice.............CO2 and cold weather don't mix.An all weather piece[ HW45 ]springer........limited by how far you can head shoot them caliber irrelevant......Harold.........not sure I could be wrong but another fellow on the CAF said pellet pistols were not legal in BC for hunting small game best check that one.........
