Hey all! Just picked up a new Vortex Razor HD LHT 3-15X42 HRE 5i for my hunting rifle! Super stoked and cant wait to mount it up to my Nosler M48 7mm Rem Mag or my Nosler M48 300WSM. Either way it's going to be super cool and I can't wait to tell you guys more about it!

Nice

As I'm shopping for a scope and have pretty much settled on Vortex Diamondback Tactical (about 25% the price of your Razor) I'm curious what made you select it and that reticle.

Let us know how the elevation turret feels. Does it have solid audible "clicks"?

The original Razor HD LH with the 1" tube had atrocious turrets. Hopefully there has been a significant improvement in the turrets on the new 30mm tube model.

Let us know how awesome the warranty is!:nest:

Why? I do more hunting and shooting than a lot of people on this site and only ever use vortex.. no issues... I have vortex on guns worth more than a lot of peoples collections.. never let me down..

I also run vortex range finding Binos and spotting scope, wouldn’t trade either of them in for any of the other “big brands”.

Quit fan girling.

Sure something like a night force or a S&B May be better but you more than pay for that last little bit of diminishing returns.

Not to mention the weight penalty, at least on the nightforces...

I have mostly Vortex optics now and they have held up far better than the Leupolds I used to own. I have given up and sold off all leupold products after having to send back well over a dozen over the years and it seemed almost every other Leupold I bought ended up going back the last couple years. Nightforces are nice but for hunting purposes the Vortex seem to do just as well at a fraction of the price and weight. I have a couple swaros now as well which are nice and light but haven't had/used them long enough to see how they hold up.

I have 2 of the razor hd LH and they are probably my favorite scope now. Will likely try the new LHT version on my next rifle.

Going to hit the range tomorrow!

Ya I used to be a leupold guy and still have a Leupold VX3i LRP 4-14 but have been a little disappointed with their selection recently forcing me to look elsewhere, I now own vortex, binos, spotting scope, rangefinder and 2 rifle scopes... always told people I was a Leupold guy till I guess I became a vortex guy lol. I think I bought my last Leupold glass when I bought my LRP. Still a big fan of Leupold rings and bases though. I always thought the nightforce looked cool but the weight for a hunting rifle was not ideal. This razor LHT is **19oz** with the battery in it.. has a 3-15 zoom and turret cap in mills. Pretty hard to beat for a hunting scope
