Just got something in the mail not long ago and is now being registered. I will probably shoot it a bit just to see if the gun stands up to my expectations and then probably sell it along with the pile of ammo I got for it. If anybody has one, is it really unjamable and how much should I expect to get for the gun and its ammo. Its very compact since it is a very nice take down rifle in 32 Remington and has a recoil absorbing sleeve over the barrel and has a rotating bolt along with a 5 round mag. The one thing that really jumped out at me when first looking at this rifle was the fire select lever... sorta looks like an AK fire select lever, now I'm wondering were Mikhail Kalashnikov got his idea from... but overall cant wait until I go and shoot this awesome looking, and functioning rifle.

Here are some pics:

well I must be really tired because I just posted this in the wrong section, it should be in the Hunting Rifles section. Its time to go to bed....

Yup wrong section but ... it looks almost identical to my model 81. Mine is chambered in 35 remington. Do you have any idea how the model 8 and 81 are different, besides that the model 8 came first.

Great website - thanks!

I have one in 32 Rem like yours, and another in 35 Rem. Keep it original and be on the lookout for a Lyman or Marbles Peep Sight for it.

I still cuss myself for not jumping on a very nice M. 8 at Trail Firearms back in the early '90's. 35 Remington, selling for $250. Made the mistake of taking an hour to think about it, and by the time I'd decided to go for it, it was long, long gone.

I like these a lot - they're really cool to look at, and scream 1930's Buck Rodgers design. Well before their time, and just so damn cool. Your looks very neat indeed. Have fun with it!
