Well I've fallen in love again, I traded my mighty accurate Mini14 Target for an absolutely Ruger No.1 International in 243 and I have never handled such a compact, well balanced, and beautiful gun! I'm going to be shooting the new Superformance GMX 80gr for deer and black bear (just got to be accurate). I took it for a walk in the mountains of Nordegg and it felt just right.
If you ever get a chance to buy one it's well worth the money! Does anyone own one of these and what are your thoughts?

Have one and will admit haven't shot more than a box of shells, but did do a lot of buying last year. All off the bench, which is a hassle with No.1's. Can't believe how short it is. Had to buy another holder for the locker. Definitely one that everybody can't stop touching.

I had an International in 243 at one time but traded it off for probably when I was in my Black Rifle phase. I have an AB model in 7 X 57 and nearly sold it. I like 7 X 57 but hate the Alex Henry forearm, and the iron sights.
I looked at a Ruger No1 back in the 90s at the Riverview gun show that had custom stocks by the Palmer brothers in Fredericton. They had picked a beautiful pieces of wood, I would love to have stocks like that on my No1.

I have one in 3006 and used it last year a lot. Short, handy and easy to carry. Might be a tad heavy for the size of gun for me, but I like it.

I also have one in 30-06 one of my favorite rifles, short and light also very accurate and consistent:D:D

I had an RSI in 7X57. Was a great shooter, but sold it to buy one of the .303 No.1's from Clay. Would like one of those .275 Rigby No.1's if they get built, but trying to behave myself if I'm ever to get to Africa. It's hard!
