The application photo instructions say "show a full front view of your head and shoulders".

In my photo, you can't see the sides of my shoulders...is that too close? Should I get it redone?

You're fine.

My wife took both of mine (PAL renewal back when and RPAL this year) and we had the pic printed at the local one-hour place for 39 cents.

The edges of my shoulders are not visible either.

Thanks!

I'd hate to have my RPAL delayed for something trivial like that.

I don't think they take photos too seriously. I had a nice one taken by the gun club where I did the CFSC/CRFSC. It turned out quite nicely. The RPAL I received on the mail had an off-center and poorly coloured copy of the nice photo they were sent.

I gave them shoulders, my license only shows a head.

... and the same photo from 5 years ago too.

I don't know ... you're worried?

as long as they can see your face, then it is fine. I took my photo with a digital camera, printed at Costco 1 hour @.17 each.
