Ah thanks for the clarification guys. I am use to cleaning my rifles from the breach end so I will use my own cleaning kit and clean my SKS from the breach end.
The bolt cover is quite easy to remove, took a bit of figuring out with the help of the guide at Surplus Rifle but its not that bad. Looking at the guide for the SVT compared to the SKS, one can easily see that the SKS is more user friendly.
