Howdy folks,

I just got the S&W M&P air pistol today. I probably wont get a chance to shoot it tell next week, but so far, I'm extremely impressed with the quality of this pistol. I've owned about 6 air guns, and this one seriously fits like a glove compared to the others. The reason I'm posting this, is to counteract the negative feedback I've read about this pistols build quality. A lot of people have criticized it's all plastic build as "cheep", but honestly, it feels very solid. I'll see how it groups, but so far, for a low budget pistol: I'm more impressed with this then the Crosman 357, or the Walther PPK/S. Has anyone else on here had experience with it?

I've handled this airpistol several times in the store as I was looking for new ones to add to my collection and choose to pass on it everytime as there was always something I preferred more. The 2 things that I did not like about it that kept turning me off were the all plastic build and the flimsy bb magazine. However, it is made by Umarex whom I have found to build very good quality air pistols, even in their less expensive line. I am certain that the M&P will be as good of quality as their H&K USP, which is on the same level as the M&P in terms of build and price.

I've found the mag to be pretty nice, since it is all metal. The plastic certainly will turn some off, but for some reason I like it on this one. I would pay $10 more for a metal slide, and $20 for a movable one. I just really like the M&P design... so I guess I'm bias :p I just wish Glock would get on licensing out their name to Umarex so we could get a sweet Glock 17 BB pistol.

I purchased one about this time last year, Love it, its seen well over 6000bbs and still works perfectly.
I was getting 1.5-2" groupings at 20' once I worked out it was shooting high and to the left. Metal slide wouldve been nice, blow back would be better. ;)
