Hey everyone,

I just moved to Brampton ON, and i'm looking to find a new range to go shooting at. any recommendations? I use to go shoot 2-3 times a week so if i can find a place close by would be great.

Im looking for:

-indoor pistol range,
-IPSC (a plus),
-flexible hours,
- max 1hr away from brampton,
-friendly people :).

thanks for the input.

Poor you :)

If you want an indoor pistol range you have 2 choices. Target Sports in Markham or Range Burlington

I don't know anything about it personally, but there is a small club in Limehouse between Georgetown and Acton. I ride past it often on my motorcycle. The Georgetown Revolver Club.

haah thats what i did. id rather drive a little bit more than get raped for 700$

Drive a little bit more? If starting in Brampton, Silverdale's nearly 100 km further per trip. You didn't save anything by becoming a member at Silverdale. The gas alone easily made that your most expensive option.

There is Guelph Rod and Gun Club. Depending on where you are in Brampton, it's like 30 minutes.

Best suggestion thus far.

Galt is also fairly close but it too is very expensive. Galts indoor range is 24/7, no RSO required. That's hard to beat.

Burlington is another good option but it's very busy.

Seven lanes, 20 yards, indoor.

I'm a member over at guelph, its decent, we have every type of shooting sport covered and there's lots of members from brampton/mississauga. defnitly recommend for the price. i"d say our only con right now is the need of an RSO, but they're doing RSO courses more frequently now, so there's almost always one there and or website just got revamped so its ez to get in touch with an RSO on our forum if you want to go on an off time.

yea so just a quick update since someone revived the thread :)

im on a waiting list a Georgetown, but they dont seem to want more members.

im going to visit burlington this week but sofar its the 1hr in traffic that will kill me but they do have weekly ipsc which is great for me.

waiting on some news from guelph but they seem to be booked till sept for the safety courses. and will need to find some brampton/guelph travel companions so i dont get turned around after 40min+ drive because there is no RSO.

will look into galt dont think i looked them up.

thanks for all the input guys.

Check out the Hamilton Angling and Hunting Association in Ancaster (just outside Hamilton). It's a beautiful club with all disciplines of shooting: Skeet, Trap, Handgun, Rifle and Archery. About $240/year, it's an extremely nice club, good hours, covered shooting, not overly busy.

has anyone tried South Peel Rod & Gun Club? indoor handguns only but it's in sauga so should be fairly close to you, i didn't know about galt i need to check those guys out too
