So I just compulsively decided to take my collection in another direction (and maybe the war on squirrels too) ... I just ordered a Ruger Air Magnum .22 ... I googled it and was reading amazon (US) reviews and it sounded good for the price (except for the crappy scope it sounds like) Anybody have one of these? How do you like it? I would hopefully like it to earn its keep, along my .22lr's.. (the only other air guns Ive had were 25+ years ago and were of the 50fps variety :) )

I have a Xisico B28 which is the same gun with a wood stock I believe. It's a big gun, lots of power. I haven't had a lot of trigger time with it, but I was surprised at the power it has.
Not much help, but that's all I got until I get more trigger time.

It's a powerful gun. To shoot it accurately, the "artillery hold" will have to be mastered to get what accuracy this rifle can muster. (See http://www.pyramydair.com/article/The_artillery_hold_June_2009/63 and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fOYSU5Lq7oA ) A common mistake made by PB shooters using air rifles is to hold it like a .22LR. This usually does not result in the desired accuracy. The double back and forth recoil of a magnum spring piston rifle is a major obstacle to accurate shooting. Another thing to keep in mind that a faster pellet is not necessarily a more accurate pellet, but since you have a .22 that shouldn't be a problem. It is undesirable to have a pellet faster than around 950 fps.

Chinese copies of the RWS 350 ? Shame the RWS didn't come in .25 I know the Chi-com knockoff did/does............Harold

Hmm... Sounds like something to try. Thanks for the responses, I will update when it gets here (hopefully in a day or 2)

it is too late to call VISA that your card was stolen
but you will have another happy day, when you will sell this gun
but
you still can get similar Diana 34 made in DE, tune it and then enjoy shooting with a springer
please do not ask how do I know about Ruger and Diana
(still keeping the Diana)
