just talked to Shane at Reliable in Vancouver and ordered my M&P hope to see it next week!!!! in 9mm of course.

trade off the G19? are you crazy? nope, this is just another purchase for me to play with.
I'll be getting standard cap mags, pinned, instead of the dumb break often mags.

I just got the M&P 40 cal...sweet....waiting for my club ATT to come to actually shoot the thing...should be another week or two. My wife bought the Walther P99, 9mm, also very nice. Ergonomics on both are awesome. I'll let you know how it shoots....

I just bought one as well and should have it Monday. :dancingbanana: I got the 40 though.

When you suck as bad as I do you need all the help you can get when engaging steel. :(

It took me 5 weeks and 1 day for the temp ATT to transport it home.....damn government!

Dry firing for now......

The M&P is one of the few 'plastic' pistols in 40S&W that works for me.
The Glock 22 or 35 were just too 'snappy', and the Walther P99 was a fragile POS, but the M&P does the job.
Doing a 250 round range day is still preferable with my stainless Sig 226, but I have recently purchased another M&P as a 'testament' to it's 'shootability'!
Just my $0.02 worth....

you mean beyond the fact that I hate .40 S&W?
I concur on your conclusion about the calibre....
BUT, if you had to have a lightweight pistol in that 'dreaded' calibre, it's one of the better choices...
Given my druthers, in a 'paper punching' or 'tactical' situation, I could easily live with the capabilites of either 9MM or the venerable 45ACP, given my choice in ammo....;)
