I suspect it's either a commander length or the slightly shorter Comanche. Still easily doable with a 105+mm barrel.

The Talon II is a 4.25" barrel with a full size frame . Nighthawk makes a very nice firearm , enjoy . Let us know when it finally arrives into Canada , the wait is gonna kill ya .

It's definitely not prohibited. The barrel/slide is 4.25". I paid the extra $200 to make it a 9mm for a couple of reasons. First I am using it as a CCW gun (in the US). Safeguardguy impressed upon us how hard it was to hit a moving target. Once the adrenaline starts flowing and your "target" starts shooting back and is moving and you are moving and having to shoot from awkward positions hitting that "target" becomes very tricky. I thought having the extra two rounds in the mag would be helpful. Also, 9mm in the shorter and lighter 1911 would help keep the recoil to a minimum. I also opted for a Bull Barrel to add about an ounce and half to the gun to help keep the recoil to a minmum. Finally, 9mm is cheap as hell to shoot.

I would go for the 9mm as well. My right arm is a mess and .45 is starting to hurt.
Also 9mm feels good in a commander length barrel.
Let us know how it works. I had a Colt that was finicky with flatnosed/hp ammo.

They do make nice stuff! I believe the company was started by one or two pistolsmiths from Wilson. They guarantee at least 1"@25yd accuracy and will use any component you want and give you any upgrade you want.

My first 1911 was a Les Baer Premier II - 38 Super. Very nice gun! The problem with Les Baer custom is that they are not that customizable. They offer quite a few changes but they are not anywhere near as custom as NightHawk. I have heard good things about the bobtails, I can hardly wait.

I was told 8 - 10 weeks - about the same as Baer.
