Just receive my Norinco JW-20 with a threaded barrel!!!

I'm another recent proud owner of a JW-20. I love this rifle. My takedown latch was a pain too but after a few minutes with a file it's nearly perfect. I feel like I might need to ream the hole in the stock a bit too; loading rounds got hung up unless the gun was held at a steep angle. Aside from the finicky things, this gun is fun to shoot and I can see it easily becoming a favourite. If only I could track down the scope base though...

I had the same exact issues with mine. A real pain to take down to clean and the feed hole in the stock needed to be carefully reamed out a bit to prevent the rounds from getting jammed as I loadred the gun. For $160 however, its a GREAT deal, very accurate and fun to shoot.

Thanks for the link. Don't know how I missed it while shopping online at Cabela's.
Shipping would be $8.95 unless you order $99 or more, 'till Dec 17th.

Anyone got a pic with a scope mounted on it?

Go to the "Rimfire" section, thumb down to the "JW20" thread, go to page 3 and look at post #29. This is a pic of my setup for Norc #1. The eye relief is not prime, but I am using a real cheapo bushnell. I think a better scope would be warranted here.

These are not target rifles, they are 'carry'rifles and do that job very well. While 1'' at 25 yards may not be acceptable for target shooting,it is quite acceptable for what the rifle is intended, casual plinking and small game.Due to my eyes,I cannot use open sights anymore so I put a bushnell TRS -25 red dot on mine, but a bushnell .22 4X scope would be perfectly acceptable for the ranges this rifle was designed for
