Just rescued some Shotgons from the RCMP Smelter

Got 3 Remington 402 Models 2 20GA and 1 12GA Bores and Barrels Interiors were fine for all 3.

Had to Totally Dissemble all and clean properlly of all rust and pits on exterior and major old rotten fouling in the barrels.

In the end one of the 20ga Shotgun was totally scrapped and gutted . Exterior of its barrel rusted to point where walls were thinned, the reciever was cracked all over so stripped it of all parts and chucked it. I plan to give the 20ga to a collector since I didn't grab them for myself just to rescue them. I am going to proper test them today and then get them on theyre way to a new home all free of course I aint chargin for them

I plan to rescue more again in the future. I hate seeing them getting destroyed

How do you go about getting guns from the RCMP?

Or is this only possible due to them being non res?

Currently i am only able to process NR firearms looking into restricted firearms maybe next year

Im confused I thought once they got their hands on them they couldn't be saved?

thats what I thought as well but it seems it varies like all government organizations its not written in just a grey area. I can not acquire weapons used in crimes tho aka robberies, murders, or etc

I was appoached for the recovery and I will do it again I didn't even know it was possible before either

I have a handgun that was used in a armed robbery. The guy actually had it registered even. He got off on a tech. and sold the gun to me thru a police freind as he knew they would be on his butt forever if he kept it.
