Just Rite Carbine

I've heard the second generation .45's have corrected the jamming, and feed issues. I'm not 100% sold on that though. I want one. So I'm going to rent one at a local range and put it through its paces and see how it is.

i am jelous
my .45 just did not work out of the box. did the upgrades, still had issues, swapped it for the last one in the store, a .40sw, it runs good, but i would have rather had a 9mm and buy a .45 and/or caliber change kit when they work

How far accurately can you shoot with that rifle?

its been too fn cold here to shoot more than a few rounds in the back yard, i have three rifles that need to go to the range! chinook coming this weekend, it gonna wrm up....but a 60km wind, still not the best for judging accuracy at longer ranges......others are saying they make good groups to 100 yrds or so

I own a 9mm it is awesome and has only ever stovepipe jammed when i fire rapidly once or twice with cheap ammo.

Now that i have had the rifle for a while I sometimes consider the 45 ACP conversion but ONLY because I reload ammo. 45 will be expesive to shoot and 9mm is super accurate at pretty decent distances. and 9mm is cheap to shoot all day long

hope that helps

Love my 9, had some light primer strikes. they sent me new pin and springs. I still had a few (2 out of a few hundred) light strikes when i went to the range last time. then i looked online and realized that the new springs actually need to go in a specific way (big end onto the pin) so that the spring is not tight on the pin. I'll try it out and hopefully it'll fix it all up....everything i read says it should. I do about 2 inches at 50 w/ irons.

Try to lube up the firing pin in the bolt good. I had the same problem with my 40SW and good lubrication of that whole bolt-carrier-firing pin solved a lot of problems

It's a sweet little carbine but it needs some finishing. I got one in .40sw, it came pretty much dry so I cleaned it up and lubed it good. Then I developed my own load for it since the rifle is very picky about the ammo you use. The ejecting window itself is in my opinion too small and you cannot fix that. You can only minimize the feed/eject problem by cleaning, lubing and using good ammo. You may need to try several different ammo manufacturers and shoot the one it likes. Also, the magazine tends to wiggle in the well during firing further aggravating the feeding so lining the well or mag with a tape helps. So, it's a bit of Mickey Mouse stuff you have to do with it so it would shoot consistently but I gotta tell you, she is one little accurate bugger.

Buy the 9mm version! Cheaper ammo and just as effective. Send an e-mail to Travis at Jo-Brooks in Brandon, Manitoba or give him a call. I have no doubt I got the best deal on my 9mm JR. They are absolutely fantastic to deal with and a sponsor on the site.
