I just inherited a Just Semur (I think) 16 ga sxs straight gripped shotgun.
I say I think as its been worn/polished to the point where there is no name left. However my comparisons with online pictures and St. Ettiene proof marks and the small raised rib and engaving leads me to believe that it is a Just Semur.
I am awaiting my camera to post pictures - so don't bark that it is a worthless thread without pictures!
Just wondering if anyone has any knowledge of these fine guns.
The sad reality with this one is that the butt has been replaced (nicely - about 14.5 inch LOP) because the owner clubbed an injured coyote with it and snapped the old one off (and threw away the pieces -- sigh)
I believe it was redone abit - some of the engraving is blurred -- the bores are good with some scattered small pits.
chokes -- well I need to post the pictures of the marks for help with that.
Any help or insights are appreciated. it will go for sale eventually when I find the time.
