hey there,
i just got a lee turret press for christmas with all the extras, and had pre-bought all the materials beforehand. I reloaded about 30 rds of .40cal ammunition using IMR800X powder, 180gr Frontier FMJ, and WSP primers. I followed the book and used the given auto-disk cavity to measure the powders.
I took them to the range and was using my cx4 and g22. The cx4 worked fine, the loads seemed pretty hot, but worked nevertheless. The glock is where i had some questions, with every shot i took, there were sparks flying out, i couldnt tell if it was coming out of the muzzle or out of the chamber, but it defiently wasnt a muzzle flash. The rounds out of the glock were also ejecting almost straight up as opposed to off to the right like they normally did when i was using wolf reloads. I checked all the cases after, and none were cracked, and nothing looked wrong...so i was happy...but i was just wondering if the sparks were normal? and if not, what they could be attributed to. Id like to figure this out before i blow up my gun...im considering using less powder as well, but the book's info says that the starting load and the NEVER EXCEED load are the same...so is it possible to back off the poweder as well?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers
