Is this requirement new or have I never tried to respond to a seller before?? I just realized the other day that I cannot reply to a person trying to sell something. I can't believe I have not before, so perhaps this is new.

I have been a "member" of gunutz for some little while now. Great site. What a wishbook. And no shortage of knowledge, opinions and interesting chats.

I am from southern Ontario ( cottage country). I hunt a little, ditto hike, camp and fish.

Now....can you ok me so I can reply to that fellow in Alberta with those tire chains!!!!

Maybe he wants to write a sarcastic comment regarding the average price on EE being about 1.7 times what the item costs new? LOL

you know, those $825 gently used Glock's and such..

Or how about a "Mint" Win. 94 with Bluing 95%, Wood 90%,

or a "Never Fired" Glock 22 Factory Re-furb. Priced exactly as a new one.

Help!!

Perhaps 2 weeks ago I discovered I could not reply to an EE ad.

As a result I went through ( as best as I could) the process to be enabled with that ability. I did not care to do the Greeting and Intro, and thought / assumed it was not manditory requirement. I believe I filled in all other required areas.

And I noted it might take 5 days or so to be approved. OK..

I think it has been a lot longer and still can't reply to EE. And no message from gunutz telling me I have been approved, as I would have guessed would occurr.

So now I am thinking the "intro" et al IS a manditory requirement, so apply again today, but, there it looks like I am a member????????????

I would much sooner send this message to gunutz, but where is there a place that says "contact us" or Questions??

I am not computer brilliant, but I am not a computer idiot either. Perhaps it is like adding a photo to gunutz, someone there thinks it should not be easy!!

I assume probably only a moderator that has access to my original EE appplication can help me, and if you are reading, I would sure appreciate a nudge in the right direction.

If you can read the ads in the ee, you are approved. See my post regarding private messages directly under your first one. That's how deals are done here... Via PM.

Thank you so much!!

Told you I was a trifle computer stupid. I was hitting "post a reply" and coming up zero. Dumb!!!
Having said that....how about adding photo's....I can see loads of people have trouble with that. I ( all by myself!!) can easily add photos to a kijiji advert, but Gunutz baffles me, and obviuosly, others!!

Thanks again

Upload your pictures to a host (photpbucket eg) and then copy the url (address bar when viewing the picture ) , then on your post editing tools where you change text size etc ,click on the little picture with a mountain and sun in it(insert picture), paste the address to your picture in the window that appears when you click the icon and VOILA !!!

I would love the EE open up to regular discussion.

A couple other forms I visit allow open discussion in their forsale section. It keeps retards inline when people can publicly call them out for asking $800 for a gen3 glock 17

No way. I hate the way outdoorsmen forum classifieds work. The ee is pollution free.
I agree with you. Alberta outdoorsman forum is one of the worst ideas I have ever seen in a for sale forum. You might think you are keeping the seller in line but all you are doing is fighting like kids. Let the seller ask what he wants, let him bump it forever when no one buys it.

If no one buys the item then he can drop his price or you can offer a lower price in PM's. I've seen so many pissing contests on AO that I don't even bother to look there anymore.

And one last thing about AO NO ONE knows they are supposed to delete a post after the sale......

I feel better now :D

Thank you so much!!

About a third of the EE posters either can't figure it out or find it's not worth the trouble. I agree it could be a lot easier.
