Just what do I have?

I've been looking into what version I have and Can't quite nail it. I'll hold off on the pics because we all know what mosins look like and I've translated much of the puzzle but the pieces just don't quite fit. Here we go.......Hex receiver dated 1904, Russian script translates to Tula manufacture, curved rear sight, blade front sight, 51.25" OAL, counter-bored barrel, D-ring type swivels not slots, One-piece stock with no sign of repairs, Stock is stamped 'AV3 4214' (this number does not match receiver serial), Receiver and bolt are matching. Thoughts?

We all know for sure that there are several dozens of variants of Mosin Nagant and they all look different, so don't hold off the pics. Best guess - Finnish M91 or M24.

is there any dates other than the 1904 receiver stamp? i think the finns reworked russian m91's into the finn version in the 20's and 40's. its probably only worth 500ish dollars in it's current condition.

No other dates visible so I might take the stock off.

It's a Russian Imperial M91 from 1904, captured and re-used by the Finns until well after WW2.

I'd hold onto it, character piece. I think fin capture m91's are in the 400 dollar range

AV3 is Finn Arsenal Depo,which means ur stock is WW2 replacement...WW1 Imperial mosins or earlier ones arent seen every day
i would not consider selling if i were you....these old war beasts are only gaining popularity, and value....its not an M24, because its Tula Marked, and its not a Finnish Capture, as Finland was part of Imperial Russia, so it was Inherited by finns.... That rifle could have been used as early as Russo-Japanese war of 1904-1905.... when was the last time u seen one like that?...collector item in my opinion.......
