Lets face it, with the tear the RCMP lab has been on in the last two years, there are many guns we have not seen imported. I have at least 5 black rifles I could import. But the last one I submitted in April 2010 is still awaiting FRT assignment. Do you think I will bother for more?
So... 14 months and they haven't found a way to make it full auto with all their gear... give them another 2 years, they won't stop until they found a way

CanAm I think it's time for importer's like your self to unlock the great nagging ability of CGNer's. I say we start a campain to bug the ombudsman in charge of the RCMP to start playing ball with law abiding citizens or face the non stop email, letter & faxing campain of CGNer's across this country we call our home, Canada.
There has got to be a legal way of us protesting enough to force the RCMP lab to make a decision allot sooner then the lolly gaging time that they are currently doing. I mean I ain't no lawyer but isn't there something like being treated in a timely fashion that they have to adhere to?

You need what's called a writ of mandamus, which would require an application for said writ to the federal court.
This gets me back to my usual bugaboo. We NEED a strong legal fund for firearms law issues in Canada. WE DO NOT HAVE ONE.
We need CSSA and NFA to WORK TOGETHER TO CREATE SUCH A FUND, and FILL IT WITH A MANDATORY PORTION OF EVERY MEMBERSHIP. If there was a 5$ mandatory part of the membership of both we'd have an annual fund with enough money to push all sorts of court cases.
