JW 14 Norinco Opinions?

Had one once. It was a piece of junk. Very bad trigger and the mag was difficult to load. I never got it to shoot very well either.

I'd pass. If you were going to spend the money on a JW-14, you'd be better off with a Marlin 795.

My opinion!

I own a 795 AND a JW14. The 795 is a better all around rifle, smaller and lighter. I bought the JW 14 because it looks like an M1 carbine. Mine is actually a nice feeling, nice shooting rifle. DSN, the mags are tough to load compared to many others, and any problems I've had with the gun relate directly to the crappy mags. With better ones, it would be a much nicer rifle. I wouldn't say its junk, but there are better choices out there in its price range.

Mine was working good. Had to degrease it a lot. Once done oil it like there is no tomorrow :p This riffle is huge for a rimfire. Supposed that Marlin's Papoose mags (10 & 15 rds) and CZ 452 are working in it with some minor adjustment. I sold it to get something smaller to have fun in the woods(10/22)
