k-98 S&K SCOPE MOUNT

Well I've been having the urge to create a repro sniper from my k-98 but the cost is double what I have into the rifle. I've been eyeing the scout mount from S&K and the no gunsmithing part is ncie but I know little about L.E.R scopes. Has anyone tried this setup?

Yes I have tried it.
It works very well.
It takes a little while to get used to the issues associated with parallax but when you do they will shoot just as good. Plus you can still use stripper clips.

Wow not a lotta k-98 guys around here, What scope is that? I know NOTHING about L.E.R scopes The leopold 2.5 X 28MM Scout stood out for me so far.

I think my k-98 was a russian capture due to its mixmaster blend of parts but I really dont want to drill it ot spend a boat laod of cash to make a sniper copy out of it.

Haha I have a similar setup like yours Richard on my Izzie Mauser. I have not gone to the range to try it yet, but it looks promising
