K31 700 Year Jubilee in 22lr

That's a beautiful rifle. When they say "made" did they refurb an existing rifle or actually make new rifles? The barrel looks like it's actually .22 LR and not just lined.

Hämmerli had all the tooling for the barrels since they were one of the two contractors for the Swiss Army rifles. They even made 7.5x55 aftermarket barrels plus some in .308 and even 300 H&H Mag and some some .22lr for the Swiss Target Shooters in the exact same profile as the Military contract barrels. You could still buy a complete, non-military issue K31 rifle into the 1990's.

Note the 700 year Jubilee commemorates the Swiss Helvetic Federation from 1291 to 1991.
