I plan to use my K31 for the up coming deer season. I hope to put a redfield revolution 3x9x50 scope on my clamp on scope mount. Anyone recommend some rings and maybe cheek pad?

If you get a 50mm objective scope, you most likely will need "tall" 3/8" dovetail base 22LR rings and may need a check-pad to compensate.
Can you really use the extra objective size for the type of shooting/hunting you are planning on?
Maybe best to go for a 40mm objective, or if you can afford it a scope with better resolution.
My old Zeiss 4x32 Diatal C is sharper and brighter than any current 50mm scopes, barring the ones actually still made in Germany or Czechoslovakia.
keep away from any open base see through rings, nothing but trouble since the front ring has to make contact with the stop on the front of the scope rail or it will slide to the front under recoil.

I prefer the Warne 7.3 22lr rings, but not easy to find here. They also have a new QD version which I have not tried yet but fear the wings might interfere with ejection. Grouse River lists them sometimes. would mind find out if anyone else in Canada have them in stock.

I noticed Redflield also lists a 3-9x40 revolution tactical that might be interest for range and ease of sight correction.
Used an inexpensive 10x bushnell 3200 tactical and like the knobs and extra range of MOA travel. Optics were "fair" with parallax under 100yds.

My buddy Pete in the States is still making leather cheek pads for the K31. Expect to wait a while.

Hi Diopter,
Any thoughts on the BKL mounts as a good option? I read a couple of posts on the K31 forum that these were good too. I haven't ventured much there to determine how popular these are. I think the BKL rail (with 4 clamping screws) and the BKL double clamp rings were suggested for the K31. I see Pyramid Airgun in the US ships these to Canada with no hassle.

Thanks for the reply. I'll be ordering some BKL rings for a 22lr. I think I'll order some BKL's for the K31 clamp on mount to try out also.

It's light walnut. Does not have the crescent shape figure seen in Beech.
Swiss did not use Birch for stocks in the time period, even for replacement stocks.
Either Walnut, up till around late 1944-45, then mostly Beech, and some were later refurbed with "found" walnut stocks after that.

This Beech Stock Clearly shows the most obvious crescents I've ever seen.

If you check on the BKL website in the International Dealers, they list two Canadian retailers.

Yes I saw that. I need a few other items that the CDN dealers don't have, so I'll order stateside. The one CDN dealer does have some BKL double strap mounts at fantastic clearance pricing.
