If you get a 50mm objective scope, you most likely will need "tall" 3/8" dovetail base 22LR rings and may need a check-pad to compensate.
Can you really use the extra objective size for the type of shooting/hunting you are planning on?
Maybe best to go for a 40mm objective, or if you can afford it a scope with better resolution.
My old Zeiss 4x32 Diatal C is sharper and brighter than any current 50mm scopes, barring the ones actually still made in Germany or Czechoslovakia.
keep away from any open base see through rings, nothing but trouble since the front ring has to make contact with the stop on the front of the scope rail or it will slide to the front under recoil.
I prefer the Warne 7.3 22lr rings, but not easy to find here. They also have a new QD version which I have not tried yet but fear the wings might interfere with ejection. Grouse River lists them sometimes. would mind find out if anyone else in Canada have them in stock.
I noticed Redflield also lists a 3-9x40 revolution tactical that might be interest for range and ease of sight correction.
Used an inexpensive 10x bushnell 3200 tactical and like the knobs and extra range of MOA travel. Optics were "fair" with parallax under 100yds.
My buddy Pete in the States is still making leather cheek pads for the K31. Expect to wait a while.
