K31 W F diopters sights and irises

Note: Title /heading does not allow special characters like "&", so W&F becomes W F.

Starting off with the the more recent Grünig + Elmiger version of the Centra brand with a aperture range of 0.6 to 3.0mm.
The diameter of the W&F iris thread is 5.5 x 0.5 mm versus the more common 9.5 x 1.0 mm as used in Anschutz and Gehmann sights and irises.

Is part 14 a solid rod that's pressed into part 15? and does part 12 have a hole all the way through it?

Part #14 is solid.

Part #12 is hollow.





This one is an S type W&F diopter that fits into a purpose milled area on the left rear end of the receiver.
The K type fits into the thumb notch on the right side. Internal parts of both types are the same.

The first aftermarket replacement for the W&F disc iris was the Gehmann D75 iris that used a rubbery plastic instead of the disc or metal iris leaves..
They hardened after many years.
