k98 bore diameter

K98k Calibre stamps indicating the land-to-land bore diameter in millimeters as 7.90, 7.9, 7.91, 7.92, and 7.93 are the most common, and a small number 7.94.

This was stamped (Calibre Designation Stamps) in front of the receiver from 1934 to 1942.

Mauser change the bore diameter from .318 to .323 in 1905 to accomodate the new spitzer bullet. Their designation is "J" or "S" bore

J = .318
S = .323

If you Mauser is made before 1905, use the .318 diameter bullet (or .311,the 303 bullet).
