K98 Cleaning Rod

Just a quick question:

What's the use of my K98 (Well, it's a M-98 I guess, being a Yugo capture or refurbish or whatever) cleaning rod if it's so dang short? It's barel half the length of the barrel. Am I supposed to clean my barrel from both ends or something equally silly? I don't really get it.

At any rate, I bought myself my own one-piece cleaning rod back before I realised the rifle actually came with its own...

They were meant to be screwed together with two other cleaning rods (from squad mates) to create a complete cleaning rod. From the reading I have done, most preferred to clean with the chain that came with the cleaning kits instead of the cleaning rods.

They do look cool though...

Agreed on the coolness front!

Thanks for the info...for a while there, I was wondering if there was another part to my cleaning rod that somehow came unscrewed from the rest of it and was thus permanently lost inside my stock somewhere.
