Hey guys,

ive been looking around for a k98 and all the ones that seem to be for sale have laminate stocks.

are all k98 stocks laminate or are there some genuine solid hardwood ones out there? do they go for the same amount of money?

thanks in advance!!!:D

If you find an early stock, it will be walnut hardwood.

I just got a shooter RC K98 that has a walnut stock. P&S Militaria have an RC K98 with a walnut stock right now. (PS813 I believe) It is the same amount of cash as the laminate.

If you found an all matching K98 with a walnut stock, it would likely go for more as they are more rare. Most of the early K98's didn't make it back from the Eastern Front.

They're pretty much the same in value. The older stocks are one piece stocks.
New stocks are laminate. It's really up to the buyer as to what they prefer.

So in conclusion:
Early = one piece
Late = Laminate stock

k98 stocks..

Hey gun nuts. What k98 stock do you think is the nicest. I think mine is a walnut, as the grain seems kinda straight and not the typical triangular reddish grain of the laminates.. Personally I think the Laminate with the red base glue on a blond stock is a work of art, especially for a service rifle. I still want one.
