I see on your website you have a number of Russian Capture K98 rifles in stock. Would it be possible to offer a more few basic details on each rifle? I think what is important to those who want these rifles are the following:
-manufacturers' code/year
-bent or straight bolt
-markings peened or not
-cupped or flat buttplate
I am personally a code hunter on these rifles. But it would be great if you could offer this detail on your website.
Thanks so much!

rc K98 vs SVT 40

Hi
I agree it would be nice for a little more info, post above hit all the main questions.
I am looking for my third RC98, I recently got one from another supplier and have one on lay away at another.
Both places provided more info.
The one I have now I am in the middle of refinishing the stock, it is a 1938 42 marked with markings intact.
It is cool to hold a 75 yr old rifle and look at the dings and scratches and wonder what stories it could tell.
This one has been used alot, you can tell whoever had it was right handed from the stains and dirt marks on the grip I don't think im gonna get them out
without sand paper, they'll have to stay there cause I'm not touching the wood with sand fine steel wood is all its getting.
I found the shellac was brushed over dirt and stains, and the bulk of it comes off easy wish varnish remover but to get all the little specs here and there is time consuming.
I'm gonna put a couple coats of tung oil on it to seal the wood and to bring out the shine.
The bore was rode hard and put away wet, it is black and has some pitting but there is still strong rifling.
I'm hoping it shoots well, probably won't get out until good friday.
I'm gonna match it up to my SVT 40, It hasn't been to the range yet either.
They both have black bores so it should be a good match up.
Cheers
