I'm extremely envious. The k98 (sniper, specifically) is one of the rifle models I'm most determined to collect.

Reminds me of Day of Defeat, actually.

Interestingly thats where i was last night.Good times lets say.

now im thinking about a glock, at 650 you cant say no.

And for my shotgun Im going with a surefire picatinny fore end(m70) and some rail covers. If only I can find somewhere in edmonton with the foreend.
 
Nice rig. I'm assuming the mount is repro?
Did you find an actual side rail rifle, or did you cut the stock on yours to fit?

PS: DoD is where it's at ;) I used to do weapons models and skins for them before Valve bought them and pushed it to retail...
 
Your base seems to be a homemade or custom project as it rides up quite a bit higher than an LSR. Should sit further ahead and down, but looks good!

There's a guy on ebay that sells a shim and a base for an LSR mount. You need a shim if you don't have a thick walled K98 receiver. Cutting more into the stock is also involved for fitting the base.

Skippy, I can't comment. Sold to me as a "sniper". I've disassembled it over to check. I've searched the interweb pretty hard to find any mounts that look like this one. I agree it does look like it sits a bit high, but I can't find any modern ones that look anything like it. The wood cut looks like it is in fact original.

The scope is 100% authentic and it fits perfectly to the mount. The odd part is it shows the same age and wear as the rest of the rifle.

I'd be curious to find out myself.

Hey buddy,

As soon as I get some P-mags! And compared to my No4T, it's just as "tall". That one guy's "Giraffe Special" was certainly something.

What's the plan this weekend? We going to Cow-town or what?!

Oh I know... it's awesome.

Some other popular firearms it has is the M1 Garand, MG-34, MG-42, BAR, MP-38, etc, etc, etc...

Great game... try it if you ever have the chance, it's quite realistic.
