I really want one.

But im having a world of difficulty trying to find someone who will sell it to me!

Anyone have any clue about where to pick up one of these?

Cheers.

They are on Ebay all the time. You just have to be careful about getting the cheap repro ones, they don't stay on very securely. The originals are made of heavy spring steel and difficult to get on and off.

I bought a sight hood (which I don't need currently) from a user named de_stuff on ebay. I would recommend you look him up. His hoods are authentic, and he doesn't overcharge for shipping. Charged me .50, and sure enough that was what it cost him.

Decent prices too. I don't know if he's got stock right now, but he also has locking screws and other trinkets.

hmmm, i was trying to avoid ebay as i let my (FRAUD ALERT) account expire and im wary on resigning due to many issues theyve had...

But ill definately check it out.

Thanks.

well i actually foudn that marstar carries them..so ones in the mail.

Hopefully not too much of a pain to put on, but well see

tradex (aacollectable) also carries them

as for install use a good pair of snap ring pliers expand the hood and slip it into the grove you NEED 4 hands get someone to holt the rifle for you

I tried to get my wife to hold the rifle for me to make that operation easier. But she won't even go there! It's a hate thing. One for the record she is a German citizen, yep! mama deutschland, hi ho hitler, I'm ok with it, she was better than a beer mug for my bring back experience while stationed in Germany, I actually brought back a live walking talking woman. hee hee;)

I use my bench rest to hold the rifle and then face the barrel when putting on the sight hood. A gun vise would be even better. You can also wrap the ends of the snap ring pliers with electrical tape for more grip on the hood.
