Don't want anyone to get burned. I raised the flag on this gun wore this fellow bought it.

Bolt is humped. Aka renumbered.

So be warned.

CanadianAR has K98k eagle eyes but even I can see this one is clearly re-numbered. No chance :HR:

Thanks for the heads up, I'm sure the new collectors appreciate it.

These ones are tricky! Pointed out a cracked hammer spur on a revolver one time and the guy threatened others who re-posted original pics. Kudos for taking the time!

What gives it away it off as humped?

I don't see it the difference in numbers, maybe I'm not looking at the right photo

Curous as well, I don't know anything about k98's, I looked at the pics and one part looks to me like it had numbers stamped overtop of existing ones, Is that the part?

Well the flat is just wrong. No natural machining marks, the "trough" is wrong. The cocking piece other numbers can be seen, the bolt shroud is obviously reworked by its rounded appearance.

I have a few matching guns posted search my old threads and see what they look like.

Lock away but leave the post up. The warning does not require input from others. Stuff should not be able to be misrepresented.

EE rules. Items have to be accurately described.

Perhaps you could sent in a post report about it with a link to what you are talking about.
