KAC 870 RAS (New Style)

Not much I can say on them as I hardly touched them.

They mount via the trigger pin holes.
The 1st gen kac 870 ras had alot of problems so they stoped making it,a few years later, this model is completly different.
Like most KAC products its very well made.

Got one through One Shot. Very solid mounting. The thing I really dig about this system is that I don't need to remove it to take the barrel off and strip the shotgun. This is not the case with the old KAC, Mesa long rail, Rhino, S&J long rail.

It mounts using longer replacement pins through the receiver as well as two tension screws on top. The pins alone were super tight and there is no movement at all. I did however have to modify my Cav Arms SST-870 adapter to fit the RAS.

As soon as I have the full gun assembled, I'll post some pics.

I really dig that rattle-snake look. It was made with a mesh overlay then spray, right?

What is that paint job? Cerakote or regular krylon?

I had to cut a small amount from the top of the Cav Arms to allow the KAC RAS to fit. No big deal just a few minutes with a Dremel.

I just used Krylon with an old laundry bag. I kinda like the two tone look for now. I may change it up just to keep things interesting.

Is there a groove or slot cut along the top of the KAC rail that would allow you to see the front barrel sight?
