Hey all,
I have a KAC lower on my 10.5 PWS upper.
Pretty sweet set up.

Here is my Q:
I find it REALLY hard to release the bolt when I insert a new mag.
It is also really hard to release if I have an empty mag in and just want to send the bolt forward.
I mean I almost have to punch the bloody paddle to get it to slam.

Is this just a rifle that is "too new" and needs some working in.
Or do I possibly need to look at some fine tuning?

thoughts?

Thanks,
Jon

You should send it to me for troubleshooting. I'll get back to you at the end of the Summer with my analysis... ;)

Seriously, though - is this your first AR? (just trying to figure out the basis for comparison for a "hard" bolt release) I always hit my bolt release or use the BAD lever (which is another option if you're looking for a lighter release).

This is not my first AR, however, I was put off by the force that I need to use.
I am sure it will break in somewhat, as well I am sure I will somewhat get used to it.

Just wondering if anyone else has had anything like this.

your welcome to borrow the gun if you want.

I guess on second thought I really shouldn't be using the strength of a Kitten to get that bolt forward.
I should be slashing my palm into it with the wrath of an unholy beast.

I think that pretty well sums it up.

Nope I think you should sell me your lower as that's whatz giving you the issue ;)
All joking a side grab some lube and work it in on the bolt catch rocking points. If you take a pick I will show you were 2 a a drop of lube.
