Sighted my scope in today @ 100 yards, it is sitting on a 6mil spuhr mount. After zeroing it appears I only have 14.5 mills of adjustment. The 624i has 26 mils total elevation, so should I not have around 19 mils?

Not to be an Ass, but have you double checked your rifle completely? I seem to recall a thread where a similar question was asked and it turned out the shop had installed the 10 MOA rail backwards, so instead of 10 MOA rail + 30 MOA mount, he ended up with 20 MOA total...

And I think your scope is junk.... but don't worry, I will take it off your hands for a "fair" value....

Not necessarily. You are assuming if you used a flat mount the scope would zero at the exact middle of the elevation range.

haha yes I did double check the direction of the mount. and i am ring a CTR zero Moa rail.

Polite Question

I assume you have zeroed the elevation turret for full turret movement to have full elevation available.

So I did the full mechanical reset and zeroed again. Still out about 4.5 mills, called Kahles/Swaro and they said its just my rifle/mount set up that is out of alignment, has anyone seen a set up that is out of alignment 4.5 mils?

Pretty sure I had 23 Mil of adjustment with my Kahles 624i sitting in my 4602 Spuhr (6 mil) .

;) but it was sitting on a 20 MOA rail.

So your only 2.5 mil different than mine. The way I'm thinking.

Coyote with a 25moa (7.2mil) base has 20.1mils of adjustment available (5.9mils unusable)
R700 .223 with a 0moa base has 17.9mils of adjustment available. (8.1mils unusable, or 2.1mils with 20moa base, or unable to zero at 100m with a 25moa base)

As you can see, my 223 naturally has the zero nearer to the bottom of the elevation range then the Coyote. Mere luck.

14.5mils will get a 308 175gr bullet to 1000m. If you need more, a 15-20-25MOA rail is an easy fix.
