Kahles Scope Problem

I got a Kahles 6 X 42 Tactical scope off another gunnut a while ago, and I can't seem to get the darn thing to adjust to the right. The SSG works fine and with factory ammo at 100 yards five shots just cuts a nice little group about the size of a quarter.

It seems to be over to the left, I did try to adjust it and it didn't move, so I am looking for an owners manual or copy of one to study and find a solution to the problem.

If anyone can help I would appreciate it.

Also is there a place in Canada that does warranty work on them?

Thanks

The scope isn't at the limit of its lateral adjustment, is it? Will it adjust the other way? Maybe there is a mounting problem, and there is insufficient internal adjustment to get the scope lined up.
A friend had the same problem with his SSG Match and a Zeiss scope. Scope base was incorrect on the receiver, it pointed the scope off on an angle. Took a trip back to Austria to correct the rifle. It's fine now.
Try laying a long straight edge along the side of the mount, see if it is parallel to the bore. That is how we identified the problem.

I would center the windage mechanically (recognizing that on some scopes that if they are at their max or min for elevation the windage adjustment may not be consistant)

Then take the bolt out of the rifle... put it in a rest ... and sight on a 25yd target through the bore (I do this in a basement about 10 yds away).... the tricky part is not to disturb the rifle while doing this... then look through the scope...if your reticle is well off to one side or the other ... your mount is not set up properly.... generally you will be on paper for windage (and elevation) on a 25 yd range if your bore and reticle see the same sight picture on the indoor setup.

note ... I often use a brass lamp stand with a 1 inch column to prop the target on...the brass column can be easily positionned in the center of a 30cal bore at this distance and will make lining the reticle vertical post/line easier.
