Kahles Scopes...who has them?

Wow...100% approval rating for the Kahles. That's exaclty what I was hoping to hear.

I purchased the scope for what I think is a very good price, and it's what I was looking for. It's a 1.1-4X24, illuminated reticle (like the S&B Short Dot). I don't actually own the rifle that it's going to live on...yet...but I wasn't going to pass up a good deal on a great scope.

You can't go wrong with a good scope & with a Kales I think you won't be disappointed. I've used & horse traded a few & thought they were awsome.
The only complaint I've ever heard was about the Zeiss Conquest scopes. I sold a few & a few guys reported after a year or two the finish looked faded or washed out (no problems with operation or glass). I never owned one long enough to find out! I still believe in spending more money on a top of the line scope over spending alot of dough on a new "state of the art" hunting rifle & then mounting some cheap Bushnell or Tasco from C.T. like I've seen more times than not. Like they say: "Beware of the man with one rifle" (& scope!)
Now if I only applied what I speak, my old lady would be a lot happier.:D

In terms of price Khales is to Swarovski what Zeiss Conquest is to Zeiss.
All are excellent scopes. I own 5 Conquests and really like them. I wouldn't hesitate to try out a Khales. In my opinion these are better than a Leupold which I happen to also like.

Kahles Scope Where To Find Info On Them

I have an old Kahles scope 2.3-7 but don't lnow much about it.
Kahles
WEIN
HELIA 27 S2

I was thinking of selling or trading it but it's going on my Brno 21H in 8X57 or my 7X57 model. I think this older scope will complement one of my 1949 Brno's.

If anyone has any leads as where I should look for info I would really appreciate it.

Thanks

Al

Not so, wrong analogy on the Khales to Swarovski. If your comparing C series Khales to PH swarovski prices are very close.

There may be specific models which go against the rule. But as I recall Khales is actually a sub company of Swarovski. The ones I've seen here were cheaper. Not as much as the Zeiss Conquest, compared to the Zeiss but that's a factor of the Conquest being assembled in the United States and our strong dollar. The exchange rate on the Euro however isn't very good which is why the European stuff including the Khales is generally fairly expensive. This is why I ultimately went with the Zeiss Conquest.

Regardless the ones I looked at were very nice scopes and the cost was generally less than the Swarovksi scopes although still fairly expensive.

I have used both Unertl 10x and Khales 10x both had BDC for .308 & range dial markings on elevation turret. Clarity of equal quality except reticles were different mildot vs. ranging stadia line crosshair on Khales

Both were steel tube & very high quality glass optics (opposed to alloy tubes and very good glass found in most $$$ hunting scopes)

Unertl slightly wins out due to greater objective lens for very low light conditions / night vision attachment

However Unertl is $$$$$$$ and Khales is $$$$. Both were exellent socpes out to 800m with 168gr target ammo

I have not used a S&B scope, so can't comment on it
if you have chance to pick one up, you won't be disapointed
