I'm looking to "de-sporterise" a M96 Swedish Mauser that has had two weaver rail pieces put on the receiver, the barrel cut down to M38 length, bolt bent, stock cut etc.
Now that the damage is done, I want to make make the best of it as well as I can.
My plan is to make it into a Alt-History Scoped carbine by building it into an M38 rifle with a replica ZF39 scope (as used in real life by the swedes) on top. To avoid further drilling I want to use the existing weaver rail pieces.
Kalinka makes some 26.5mm rings (ZF39 tube size) for a weaver rail but they can't sell them into Canada.
Does anyone know where I can find some in Canada? I was hoping to get some low profile rings.
