After a while of being 'unaffiliated' I've figured it's time join a club again.

I'm looking at the Kamloops Target Sports Asc. or the Kamloops and District Fish and Game club.

From what I can find on the web it seem that the KTSA has the ranges out here while the F+G club seems to be more 'community' oriented (fishing derbies, sheep counts, fishing for the blind...) but doesn't have a range.

For those that are members does that about sum it up? What are your thoughts on either club? If you join the KF+G do you just use the Logan Lake range and drop a few $$ in the box or...?

And a general question, is asking for PAL number on a membership application normal? As I said, it's been a few years since I belonged to a club, but I never remember having to provide it before.

Thanks!

I am a member of the KTSA. It is a great facility with rifle targets out to 500 m. The pistol/.22 range is a wide covered area. There is an archery range and archery walk as well. All the guys (and women) I have met out there are great people. Lots of help and advice if you want it. Never usually really busy when I am there. It is very clean and well looked after. Not too long ago they added a number of bays that you can use for IPSC, shotgun, rimfire, whatever. You can get memberships at the Powder Keg and they will answer any questions you have about the club as most of them are members. They also have a website if you want to see what is happening out there. Really great shooting facility IMHO.
