Kamloops to build a 5... Hang on, 900M Full-Bore range!!

I'm not sure where you got that sort of info, but I know I for one go out of my way to try and welcome new shooters; I think it is fair to say that the rest of the fullbore shooters do as well. I would respectfully ask that you keep these sorts of statements where they belong.

Come on out and try the Sunday winter league and if you really feel we're that bad, by all means tell anyone that will listen.

I've been told this by shooters I've met at WSS and up at Heffley who also shoot at KTSA. I have no first hand experience as I've never been there, so I was just stating what I've heard and I didn't say all just 'some'. Sorry if you felt I was insulting every KTSA shooter. I'll see about comming up sunday. Weather and Migraines permitting. I'm not gonna go shooting with my head hurting like it is now.

that surprises me as well. Ive been a member of ktsa for 2 years and always felt welcome. People there were friendly and respectful. Im a new shooter I guess, as I really only started range shooting 2 years ago, so I had alot to learn. Everyone I met there was very helpful and would offer tips and tricks.

Never once did I experience anything I would be to consider a negative action. I hear about people talking about other ranges with range hogs or range nazi's. I never experienced this at KTSA.

No one ever hoged multiple bench's, or felt the need to drill anyone on how to use a gun. As a new shooter I made a few mistakes, and the people there always showed me the right way to deal with the situation in a very respectful fasion. once on a cies fire I layed my pistol down sideways insted of down range, the guy beside me, where my pistol was pointed, nicely let me know to point my gun downrange. and once I had a bad batch of primers and had a misfire, this concerned me as I never had one before, the guy beside me noticed my click no bang situation, noticed my nervous look and helped me out, we let the gun sit for 5min before extracting the round.

I was appreciative of all this, they didnt have todo anything, everyone could have stayed to themselves and shutup, but I liked the comradely and the assistance.

Ive been to WSS in kamloops many times as well, and found them very nice people, Im surprised to hear them bad mouthing KTSA. Its something if a manager at kamloops WSS was informed of this im sure they would not be impressed. KTSA does alot for the shooting community in Kamloops and they (wss) would be wise to nip this in the but right away, as those KTSA members are also wss shopers.

The proprietor and staff of the Powder Keg have been very heavily involved with the KTSA for years. I suspect there might be a degree of business rivalry at work there. Either way, unless you have been the victim of that sort of ill-treatment personally, please consider how those comments appear to the many people that DO shoot at KTSA and work tirelessly to welcome new shooters.

I am not a member and not really a new shooter but I can honestly say that I am treated with the utmost disrespect every time I attend a match. I feel so much like Rodney Dangerfield that I find myself tugging at my collar. Seriously, my treatment stops just short of abuse. Usually, when I get back home after a match, I half-expect my dog to bite me; I feel so low.
I'm just kidding, of course. There may always be some personality conflicts within any organization ( how anyone can get along with Fripp, for instance, is beyond me!) but all clubs exist to provides a venue for shooters in the best ways they can. I'm always thankful for every active range and wish I had the time, money, and ability to support them all. Regards, Bill.
