I've wanted one of these Hind gunship-esque brutes for a long time, mostly as fun gun but if it works well for me it might become my new woods gun on account of its light weight (2.6 kg/5.7 lbs) and short OAL for a given barrel length.

They are available right now in 26" bbl barrel form but I 'd prefer something a bit more compact, however the short barrelled models are currently a few millimeters too short to make non restricted minimum length and they appearantly haven't been assigned an FRT so those two issues will have to be taken care of before the shorties will be available, hopefully sometime next year.

Magazine on top is interesting. It's really just a weird design though.

Why do you want one? Serious question, I'm not picking a fight at all. Just wondering what it is that appeals.

I like Russian firearms, I am in the market for a tactical shotgun anyway, and this thing is supposed to be very reliable and is probably very rugged seeing as it was expressedly designed for Russian military and police use.

Also the light weight and compact dimensions are appealing for someone who spends a lot of time in the woods, this thing is lighter and just as short for a given bbl length as a typical single shot shotgun.
 
I forgot to add to the above that I just plain like quirky firearms, as long as they're well made and function well.

Anyway, here's the Russian "beauty" itself for comrads who don't know what I'm talking about;

We were thinking about bringing them in, but the trigger is a heavy DAO...

We are already dealing with Tula for something else so it wouldnt be too difficult if there was any interest
 
tac imports- what kind of price point would we be looking at?
also, what makes this different? i seem to remember reading about the barrel moving?

edit: i might be interested...

Isn't a single action trigger an option, at least on some of the sporting models?

Any misfiring round on a pump is getting cycled before I can even think about it.

I really like DA triggers, at least on revolvers, but its pretty tough to say I'd like one on a shotgun that I've never handled.

The trigger isn't all that bad, kind of like a heavy military two stage. The feeding mechanism is as close as control feed as you'll ever get for a shotgun.

Must have put well over 500 slugs (and god knows how many bird shots) through mine, and you cannot induce a miss-feed. The empty shell will not eject until you reach the full forward position. (The pump is push-pull as opposed to the standard pull-push)

Should you short stroke it, you'll simply re-chamber the empty hull.

Feeding takes a little getting used to, not as fast as a 870.

Valery (Armrus) did import some short barrel with the folding stock, that model had a different trigger mechanism that prevented the firearm from being fired if the stock was folded.

Anyway can you manually load the chamber or does it all have to go into the mag tube? Also how's the recoil given the light weight?
 
Hehehe..... I can tell that there are only 3 long-folding and 5 short-folding in Canada.... awesome guns, but few imported. I'm not selling mine...too awesome....never expected it to be though....
 
Does anyone have a price on these yet?

Also, does anybody know the LOP on the folder stock?

you say they are availiable with the 26" barrel? who sells em

"nevermind vinzer sports sells em for $840

and check out the kbp website some of there stuff is "interesting" to say the leaset
